About Us - The History Behind Cambridge House

The main section of the house built as a private home in 1914 was added onto a much older property.
The whole of the inside and rear of the property have been totally renovated and re-built. Using only local materials to blend with the original we had to build character back into the house as it had under gone a face lift in the 50s and had removed all original features.
Being patient and persistent, shopping around using local Auctions and shops we have achieved our aim to arrive at our goal of a warm and comfortable home we would like to share with visitors to the Dales.
Our guests will have use of lounge dominated by a beautiful oak fire place surrounding a wood burning stove this room leads into a south facing conservatory.
A panelled dinning room with large oak table and matching furniture leads from the entrance hall this room also has a wood-burning stove.
The guest bedrooms are all at the front the house on first and second floors they are south facing with stunning views down the valley towards Richmond and over looking the garden which boarders the car park.
There is a small pond in the garden with plenty of seating for any one who would like to sit and admire the view.
