There are lots of suggestions on our website page:

Our food page.

Our best price is always on our website or on the phone.

All our rooms are furnished to the same standard with quality, antique furniture and have the same stunning, south facing view across Swaledale. Yan and Tan are on the first floor and Tether, Mether and Pip are on the second floor.

Cambridge House was built in 1914 so the layout doesn’t allow us to have a ground floor bedroom.

Cambridge House is 450m or a 5 minute walk from Reeth green and three pubs, cafes, village shops, ice cream parlour and post office.

Cambridge House is accessed from a gravel car park up three steps and guest accommodation is over three floors. Please see our full accessibility guide.

As we don’t have a family room, for safe guarding reasons, we don’t accept children under the age of 18 years. We’re also aware that many of our guests are couples enjoying a break away from family and come to enjoy the peace and tranquillity at Cambridge House. We can suggest family accommodation elsewhere in Reeth.

We accept one dog by prior arrangement in Tether. We ask for a donation of £5.00/night which we give to The Dogs Trust. We have three dogs ourselves but they aren’t allowed in front of house. We ask that owners are respectful of other guests and that dogs aren’t left alone in guest rooms or brought into the dining room at breakfast.

There is a gravelled, level, off-street, gated car park in front of the house accessed off Arkengarthdale Road; one car park space is allocated per room. As long as you let us know, you are welcome to arrive early and leave your car or leave it on the day of your departure for pick-up later.

We do offer single occupancy and you can check availability and price on line.

Check-in is between 4.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. but outside these times can be by prior arrangement. Check-out is by 10.00 a.m.

Yes, as family members are vegan, it isn’t a problem. Our breakfast menu offers plenty of choice including plant based alternatives such as soya milk, soya yogurts, vegan bread and vegan sausages; just let us know your preferences when you book.

We cater for gluten free and dairy free diets. Please tell us when you book so we can make sure your specific requirements are catered for.

We have a two night minimum stay policy but if a single night booking fits in with our other bookings, we may accept the request. At peak times there will be a £50 single night surcharge to cover the extra costs incurred.

Yes we do; packed lunches can be ordered by 7 pm the evening before but we need 24 hours’ notice for a picnic.

Yes we can. Make it special! We can arrange chocolates, champagne or flowers for your room. Please give us a call or drop us an email.

There’s lots to do and see and we can suggest activities for one day to seven days or more, whether sunny or raining. See our Things to do page.

We can suggest lots of walks straight from the door and can provide route cards.

We are very eco-friendly and you can see our Environmental policy here.

Yes, we can store your bikes in our garages, just let us know when you book.

Mobile phone coverage is patchy throughout the Dales. In Reeth there is good EE and O2 reception.

A hotel offers 24 hours service, reception, restaurant, room service and additional facilities such as a gym. A B&B or guesthouse is smaller, usually run by a family who live on site and do everything from cleaning rooms to cooking breakfast; some facilities such as 24 hour service and reception are not normally available.

We have a policy of two nights minimum stay, but if we can work round other bookings, it may be possible for us to provide a single night. At peak times, there will be a single night surcharge of £50.00.
